Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 11, 2026 · Last Updated: July 20, 2026
Corral is a desktop window management application published by Liv Team. This policy explains what information Corral handles, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.
1. Information We Handle
1.1 Account Information
If you sign in, our identity provider, Clerk, provides the account and authentication information needed to keep you signed in and connect online features. This may include your email address, display name, and session information.
1.2 App and Sync Data
Corral stores settings and window management data on your device. This includes settings, shortcuts, custom layouts, snapshots, exclusion rules, and local window-move history. If you enable cloud sync, supported settings, layouts, snapshots, app exclusion and matching rules, and sync status information are stored on Corral's servers so they can be used on your other devices. Local window-move history is not uploaded by cloud sync.
1.3 Feedback
If you send feedback, we receive the text, votes, and related details you submit. Preset exclusion suggestions may include an app name, matching rule, and operating system. You may also choose to include diagnostic information with feedback: the app version, Tauri version, operating system information, and an anonymous feedback device ID.
1.4 Onboarding Measurement
Corral sends limited anonymous events about onboarding progress, skipped steps, completion, timeouts, and failures to a Corral-operated measurement service. These events are used only to improve onboarding and do not contain account information, window titles, app names, file paths, or content from your windows. This measurement is always on for Free users. Pro users can turn it off in settings.
1.5 Purchase Information
Purchases are handled by the payment provider or store you use, such as Paddle, Setapp, or the Microsoft Store. We may receive the order, receipt, and refund status needed to provide Pro access and customer support. Corral does not receive or store your full payment card details.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
- Window contents, screenshots, or screen recordings
- Keystrokes or text you enter in other applications
- Browsing history, personal files, file contents, or visited URLs
Corral uses operating system accessibility permissions to move and resize windows. Some features need window position, size, or app identity, but Corral does not read the content displayed inside those windows.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide window management, accounts, Pro access, and cloud sync
- Process feedback and maintain preset exclusion information
- Improve onboarding using limited anonymous events
- Provide purchase support and handle refunds with the applicable payment channel
- Protect the service and prevent abuse
4. Services That Process Information
We do not sell your personal information. Information is processed only as needed by:
- Clerk — account authentication and session management
- Corral-operated services — sync, feedback, Pro access, security, and onboarding measurement
- Payment providers and stores — purchases, receipts, taxes, and refunds
We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect users and the service.
5. Storage, Security, and Retention
Local data remains on your device until you remove it. Data for online features is sent over encrypted connections and kept only while needed to provide the feature, maintain required transaction records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it where reasonably possible. We use access controls and protected local storage for account and sync credentials.
6. Your Choices and Rights
- Turn cloud sync off to stop future synchronization
- Choose whether to include diagnostic information with feedback
- Turn onboarding measurement off if you use Pro
- Request access, correction, or deletion of account information
- Delete your account in the app and remove local app data from your device
Some records may be retained when required by law. To exercise a privacy right or ask a question, contact us using the address below.
7. Children's Privacy
Corral is not directed to children below the minimum age required to consent to online services in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when Corral or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated policy here and provide additional notice when a change materially affects users.
