Create a custom layout

A custom layout lets you define the position and size of a window area. Draw the area in the grid editor, drag its edges to resize it, and save.

The first custom layout is available on Free. Additional custom layouts require Pro.

Apply a shortcut and check the result

  1. Check Current profile at the top of Window Management. If shortcuts are managed separately by OS, check the selected OS too.
  2. Check or assign a shortcut for the arrangement.
  3. Leave settings and click the normal window you want to arrange.
  4. Press the shortcut and check that the window moves to the intended area on that monitor.

If you placed a window incorrectly, check Undo.

Edit the area of a built-in layout

Use the built-in row’s zone-editing action to adjust its area. In the editor, the existing background regions are fixed; only the region currently being edited can be moved or resized. Resolve any overlap warning before saving.

Built-in layouts cannot be deleted. To create a separate arrangement, follow Create a custom layout.

Apply an arrangement by dragging

Configure Window Snap if you prefer the mouse to a shortcut. Using custom layouts as Window Snap candidates requires Pro access.
